Profile

Mandalay Coatings was established in Cape Town, South Africa by GALIEM JACOBS in 1996. Born from a philosophy that sound advice, good workmanship, technical support and the acceptance of responsibility are the cornerstones of our reputation; Mandalay Coatings has grown into a well established manufacturer.

Our products are not only tailored to meet all customers specifications; but adhere to every requirement by manufacturing control boards including the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).

It is these strong company values that won us acquisition of many contracts such as the manufacturing of a special fire retardant coating for the Sinai IV base in Antarctica. Our results delivered by impressive resistance to a temperatures of -42 degrees during transportation.

So through nurturing our company belief and a pride in producing quality products, Mandalay Coatings has gained a reputable place in the market.

ISO9001 accreditation

Mandalay Coatings received the ISO 9001/2000 quality accreditation from the SABS on 20 October 2003.

The ISO 9001 certificate represents a significant recognition on a national and international scale. It forms part of the SABS ISO 9000 series, which is a code of practice for quality control systems developed and published by the International Standards Organisation based in Switzerland.

These criteria effectively ensure consistent product quality and production continuity. Since the ISO requires an organisation to have a well-planned and fully documented quality system, the certificate implies that the production process will not break down or suffer in any way in the absence of any personnel.
